Fundacion para la Promocion del Deporte Ecuestre has signed, for the fifth year in a row, a cooperation agreement with Asociacion “Equitacion como Terapia” (Riding for Therapy Association), which carries out its activities in the Madrid area.
The agreement was materialized in the donation of a fall-prevention security harness, a security system that had already been granted by our foundation last year, making it possible to increase the security, quality and effectiveness of the riding sessions, both with children and adults.

This new harness will benefit 30 to 40 users, facilitating their progress by allowing increasing levels of difficulty within the sessions, without risking security. With this aid, participants develop their autonomy, they manage to control the horse, and even get to trot.

This system also works for the therapists and the assistant volunteers during the sessions, because some participants suffer severe physical limitations and need a lot of help. The harness increases security and mobility, prevents falls, and facilitates handling and movements while on horseback.
With its support, Fundacion para la Promocion del Deporte Ecuestre contributes to the efficient implementation of equestrian therapy programs, not only seeking the therapeutic quality of the sessions, but also ensuring they are carried out with high standards of security.
