Adapted Riding Clinic – Adapted Sports Federation of Navarra
Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre has signed a cooperation agreement with the Adapted Sports Federation of Navarra to support their Adapted Riding Clinic for the third consecutive year.
The activity was held at Labiano Riding Centre during the months of June and July 2015. The program was divided in two parts: The first one, the proper Clinic, was scheduled on Wednesdays in June, sessions timed an hour and a half, of which 45 minutes were dedicated to handling the horse, and the other 45 to complementary activities, like grooming and care. After this, during four days in July, there was a Riding Camp, oriented to sportsmen and women with and without special needs, in which riding classes were combined with other horse related leisure activities.
With this sponsorship of adaptive equestrian activities, Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre fosters social inclusion of individuals with special needs. In turn, Navarra Federation strives to create a diverse and welcoming environment, organizing activities in non-school, non-working hours, so all participants, with or without special needs, can enjoy together their passion for horses.
