Clinic for Dressage Judges in Dehesa Montenmedio
On 12th and 13th March, on the occasion of the 13th edition of the Circuito de Sol de Doma (Dressage Circuit), the Horse-Riding Center Dehesa Montenmedio, sponsored by the Foundation to Promote Equestrian Sports, held a Retraining Seminar for Classic Dressage Judges, delivered by the Official International Judge Mrs. Maribel Alonso de Quinzanos.
The Seminar was attended by a total of 22 judges, both regional and national.
Mrs. Alonso de Quinzanos is currently the most prestigious Spanish-speaking Classical Dressage Judge in the world. Over recent years she has taken part in the most important contests: the Kentucky Championship, Continental Championships, the Olympic Games, etc.
The seminar reviewed the latest regulatory changes, the judging trends, the use of half points, and all matters concerning Freestyle with Music (Kür). Also, different freestyles from recent international competitions were reviewed.
The attendants to the seminar performed judging practices on the freestyles from the Grand Prix Special and the Kür Grand Prix on Saturday 12th, and the Intermediate I freestyle on Sunday 13th.
