In 2018 Includes Almendralejo has developed the program “Yo, como tú, troto” (“I trot like you”), consisting in Hippotherapy and Therapeutic Riding sessions supported by Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre through the signature of a cooperation agreement, the third one among both institutions, in this case to provide adapted riding equipment.
 
The program gives the members of the Day Care Centre and Special Education School suffering from severe pathologies the opportunity to receive therapy sessions. In these physiotherapeutic sessions, horse movements are used to benefit posture control.
Participants with less severe pathologies receive Therapeutic Riding sessions, with a broader range of activities and exercises, like learning to ride with a therapeutic purpose, horse grooming and hygiene, preparing and managing equipment, etc.
This project is conducted in two local riding centres, the «El Toro» Riding and Carriage School and «La Vid» Riding Centre, for two hours and a half,three days a week, for a total of 28 participants.

 
With the equipment donated byFundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre, participants have more mobility during the sessions, which helps them to improve their coordination and other motor skills through the activity.
