Adapted ramp to access the horse and other riding equipment – ASPACE Ávila
2018 is the year of the first cooperation agreement between Fundación para la Promoción para el Deporte Ecuestre and ASPACE Ávila, through which our foundation will provide an adapted ramp to access the horse and other riding equipment.
With the new ramp, 15 adults from the Day Care Centre have been able to mount, many of them for their first time.
Also, with this new equipment 41 children from the Servicio de Promoción de la Autonomía(Personal Autonomy Promotion Service) were introduced to adapted riding, achieving their dream of becoming horse-riders, and other children with significant special needs were able to ride by themselves.
The target of this collaboration betweenFundación para la Promoción para el Deporte Ecuestre and ASPACE Ávilais to improve the quality of their Horse Assisted Therapy Programme, and to include new activities. It has been a very positive experience, with psychomotor and motivational benefits for all participants.
