Fundación CARRIEGOS (CARRIEGOS Foundation)

CARRIEGOS Foundation was created in 2003 with the goal of improving the quality of life of groups in a position of social disadvantage. They emphasize on rehabilitating patients with neurodegenerative, orthopaedic or any other impairing medical conditions using equestrian therapies. Supplementary pedagogical and recreational activities are offered; the promotion of cultural values and sport being essential to their task.

Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre has established a collaboration agreement with Carriegos Foundation, issuing grants for Assisted Equestrian Therapies to be delivered, from February to December, to a group of ten intellectually challenged youths aged 6 to 26.

Thus, Carriegos Foundation, with the support of Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre, keeps working in terms of social responsibility, seeking to improve its patients’ life quality through therapeutic horse riding.
