Donation of equestrian adapted equipment – Asociación Zooterapia Extremadura (AZE)
Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre and Asociación Zooterapia Extremadura (AZE) have established a new collaboration agreement through which the Foundation donates equestrian adapted equipment for their Horse-Assisted Interventions.
With the material received, AZE ensures a realistic Equestrian Therapy program adapted to the special needs of individuals and/or groups with many different diagnoses and characteristics (Rett, Down, ADD, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, etc.), serving a total of 50 users per year on a permanent basis.
In addition, the equipment has been very useful to carry out the adapted riding classes, which currently have 11 users with cognitive functional diversity, Asperger Syndrome, muscular dystrophy, and Down Syndrome.
With the objective of making Horse Assisted Therapies accessible to as many people as possible, Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre offers associations as Zooterapia Extremadura the necessary resources to promote and enhance the physical, cognitive, personal, and emotional abilities of people with disabilities and reinforce their social insertion.
