Adapted Riding School & inclusive camps – Federación Navarra de Deportes Adaptados

As a result of the 9th cooperation agreement between Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre and Federación Navarra de Deportes Adaptados (FNDA), the Federation organized an Adapted Riding School and two inclusive camps.

The Adapted Riding School was held during May andJune at Hípica Labiano, focusing on leisure and sports on-horse activities for a group of 7persons with functional diversity, who shared the space with other horsemen and women. In total there were 5 sessions (scheduled out of school/working hours), in which 45 minutes were dedicated to horse handling and other 45 minutes to horse grooming and care.
Both inclusive camps included riding classes and leisure activities with horses for sportspersons with and without diversity. The first camp was held from the 25th to the 29th of June, and the second from July 2nd to 5th, both from 10:00 to 14:00, for a total of 10 participants.

Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre does an important social intervention work by favouring, with the aid of horses, sports practise and the social integration of people with functional diversity.
