Therapies for People with Disabilities: CPEE Andrés Muñoz Grande
The Foundation to Promote Equestrian Sports has once again collaborated with the Special Education School Muñoz Garde of Pamplona to implement a project already supported in 2012, which allowed several students of the Center to enjoy horse-assisted therapies.
This year, 24 students with different special needs received care, trying to give priority (as there are 77 students in total) to those students with multiple disabilities and coming from low-income families.
The program was developed over 10 days, with 7 sessions of 20 minutes each day. In total, each student was able to enjoy 2 or 3 sessions, depending on the case.
With this contribution, the Foundation to Promote Equestrian Sports gives continuity to a plan started over 8 years ago, which cannot always be executed by the CEE Andrés Muñoz Garde due to insufficient budget. Such continuity has a positive impact on the progress and evolution of users, as well as on the long-term attainment of therapy objectives.
