Fundacion para la Promocion del Deporte Ecuestre has signed this year the fourth collaboration agreement with Asociación de Equinoterapia de Girona ADEG (Equine Therapy Association of Girona), which promotes Equine Assisted Therapy among all interested people, with or without Special Needs. The goal for year 2015 was to create a pool of volunteers trained as auxiliary Equine Therapists, to facilitate cooperation with different provincial institutions and to provide spaces for specific training.

The program was conducted from February to July, and was divided in two parts. From February to May, action concentrated on the management of the volunteer pool, attending 23 applications. The second part, during June and July, dealt mainly with the specific training of 8 of the volunteers who had applied during the previous months.

With this cooperation, Fundacion para la Promocion del Deporte Ecuestre brings equestrian therapies closer not only to the recipients, but also to those who want to do their bit in an activity that makes a difference in the life quality of those who have to struggle day to day with special needs.
