Adapted Riding School of Navarra- Federación Navarra de Deportes Adaptados
The second project developed by Federación Navarra de Deportes Adaptados in 2017, with the support of Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre, within the frame of the 8th cooperation agreement between both entities, was the Adapted Riding School of Navarra.
In June, Federación Navarra de Deportes Adaptados sponsored the participation of 8 riders in the Riding School held at Labiano Riding Centre, where they shared spaces and schedule with other horsemen and women, pursuing a double goal: to practise equestrian and therapeutic riding, and to favour social inclusion of persons with diversity.
Riding lessons were held on Thursdays 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th of June, during an hour and a half each day; working for 45 minutes on horse handling, and the other 45, on grooming and care.
The Adapted Riding School of Navarra is an integrative project that gives impulse to the practise of adapted sports among persons with diversity. Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre shares and promotes the values of adapted sportsmanship as part of its social orientation.
