Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre and Associació Provincial de Paràlisi Cerebral de Tarragona (APPC) settled their 5^th cooperation agreement for the donation of equestrian equipment.

23 users of Gresol Occupational Centre, Trèvol Nursing Home, and Special Education School La Muntanyeta suffering from cerebral palsy, received equine therapy and hippotherapy sessions throughout the year, as part of the psychomotor, educational, and leisure/social integration work conducted by APPC.

Through riding and on-horse therapy they have been able to improve the functioning of the vestibule of the ear, responsible for movement and balance regulation;increase muscle tone general coordination, lung capacity, intestine motility, dribble control;reduce anxiety and induce relaxation.

Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre works to promote awareness of the importance of Equestrian Therapies in psychomotor rehabilitation, and to support an equip the organizations involved in them, like APPC.
