Access ramp to the horse – Plena Inclusión Don Benito
Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre and Plena Inclusión Don Benito Extremadura agree the signing of the seventh collaboration agreement for the incorporation into its facilities of an access ramp to the horse for its Equestrian Therapies program.
For the therapeutic program, a selection of users has been made according to their needs belonging to the Day Care Center, the Occupational Center and Ntra. Sra. de las Cruces Special Needs School from Plena Inclusión. In total, 25 users performed Hippotherapy and 14 Therapeutic Riding.
The work with each user is individual with diagnoses such as cerebral palsy, dysmorphic syndromes, Rett syndrome, sensory disabilities, spina bifida, ataxias, etc.
The Equine-Assisted Therapies program begins in October and ends in June.
With the access ramp to the horse acquired with the help of Fundación para la Promoción del Deporte Ecuestre they have been able to increase both the number of users and the treatment time of the therapies, aspects that fulfill the purposes for which the agreement was established.
