Summer Course – UCM
One more year, the Complutense University of Madrid has the support of the Foundation for the Promotion of Equestrian Sport in its Summer Courses.
This time, the theme of the program has focused on the high competition: “The Elite Athlete: Man vs Horse, Are we so different?
This course has been taught by physicians, veterinarians, human and veterinary physiotherapists, trainers and coaches all of great experience in the world of sports. The sessions addressed scientific and professional topics of the athletes and put together the most relevant aspects of biomechanics, pathology, nutrition, physiotherapy and training of the athletes and their horses.
Among the many attendees, over 40 people, there were veterinarians, physiotherapists, nutritionists, pharmacists, trainers, riders and athletes from different disciplines, students and enthusiasts of the horse’s world and the sport.
Their own interest in participating, made the debates be of great interest about their knowledge and point of view.
