I National Paraecuestre Workshops

The Spanish Equestrian Federation counted upon the collaboration of the Foundation for the Promotion of Equestrian Sport to develop a new project: I National Para Equestrian Workshops.

The event took place between the 8th and 10th at the Castilla and León Equestrian Centre (Segovia).
The conference proved a success: a total of 67 participants (14 riders, 22 coaches, 21 judges and 10 qualifying doctors) placing it as the most important Discipline of the Sport taking place in Spain so far, endorsed by the organisation were the activities carried out by the highly qualified teachers achieving all round satisfaction for those present.
The coaching of the riders and trainers was carried out by national expert D. Luis Lucio, Technical Dressage Director of the RFHE, and invited International 4* trainer and judge, Mrs. Kathy Amos.

The International Dressage and National Para Equestrian judge, D. Paco Guerra , was responsible for the training of the judges along with International 5* judge Mrs. Anne Prain recently named President of the Jury in the up and coming World Equestrian Games in Normandy.
Mrs. Lynn Lawford, International Medical “Sorter”, one of three worldwide top level regulators was responsible for the training of the Medical “Sorters”.

During the days of the conference practical and theory training took place in each of the areas, a round table discussion with all the participants and a CPEDN* for all those who could apply their recent knowledge.
With this collaboration The Foundation for the Promotion of Equestrian Sport continues to support initiatives that promote training in the disciplines of para equestrianism, not only boosting the choice of career path but giving everybody the possibility of practicing the sport equestrianism.
